Vilas Sonawne descended on me from Delhi and told me that the Hyderabad Congress of the CPI-M has passed an amendment on caste to its programme moved by Sitaram Yechuri. I wrote to Satyapal Dang about it and again urged him to call all anti-caste parties and organisations together to form a caste-ending national united front. He replied by saying that he would secure the relevant documents and then write. The Ghogre brothers of Dr.Ambedkar Medicos' Association gave me Frontline which reported the Party Congress and published interviews of Prakash Karat and Yechuri, and also Dipankar Gupta's recent book on caste.  read more...
